Essential Job Functions: | 1. Participates in managed care activities such as formulary management, assistance with prior authorizations, medication adherence, generic dispensing rates, medication therapy management, and chronic care management, to include face-to-face and telephonic consultations with patients and physicians, and may be delivered at the pharmacy, at our call center, or other locations as assigned. 2. Interacts with Pharmacy Manager regarding services goals. 3. Prepares, dispenses, and compounds medicinal drugs. 4. Consults and advises patients about their medications and about over-the-counter medications and devices. 5. Provides advise in disease management of patients. 6. Provides information medications and medication therapy. 7. Participates in the procurement, distribution, control, storage, and disposal of pharmaceuticals, in compliance with departmental policy, standards of practice and Federal, State and Local laws. 8. Performs data entry and computer functions related to prescriptions processing, inventory, billing, general reports, and file maintenance. 9. Oversees support personnel. 10. May participate in campus and community events. 11. Remains current in pharmacy practice, and maintains appropriate certifications and licensure. 12. Assists the Pharmacy Manager and Assistant Dean in special projects as required. 13. Performs other duties as assigned or required. |
