Essential Job Functions: | 1. Collaborates with the Program Specialist to update and close out all courses. 2. Responds to daily inquiries in a timely manner. 3. Updates attendance rosters for each class. Provides copies to the SEAMIST staff for filing, and data cross reference. 4. Communicates with the POC before each training to ensure the training site has the necessary tools for classroom instruction. 5. Market the program course offerings, attend required conferences and workshops designated by the program staff. 6. Prepares training folders and supplies prior to each training. 7. Conducts inventor inspections and report findings to the SEAMIST staff. 8. Enters Travel Reimbursements within 14-days of completed trip into Concur. 9. Reviews and corrects unique ID numbers and evaluation occupations. |
Marginal Job Functions: | 1. Modify and update curriculum, including the questions in Microsoft Forms on an annual basis. 2. Participate in the Project SEAMIST Trainer’s Exchange on an annual basis. 3. Provide updated CV/ Resume and/or Bio sketches to remain compliant with program funder requirements on an annual basis. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: | 1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse students. 2. Proficiency in the use of audio-visual equipment 3. Establishment of a supportive and conducive learning environment. 4. Exemplification of professional conduct as a role model. 5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. |
Job Requirements: | 1. The type of shift varies based on the requirements of teaching assignments. Although unlikely, weekend/evening teaching may be required. 2. May require travel to off-site locations to accommodate customer/client training needs. |

Required Experience: | 0 (zero) to 2 (two) years of experience in the related field. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Bilingual HazMat Technician Level first responder and or Industrial Hygienist Teaching Certification with OSHA, HAZWOPER, FEMA, DOT and/or EPA |
